Light and Darkness Dragon.

This post isnt about how good it is.

We all know how good it is. People who dont, please go play against a good monarch deck and feel it first hand.

Some Monarch decks run Two Light and Darkness Dragon. I mean, everything else is in place, why not stick this guy in?

Some decks even run three. These are especially scary.

Everyone knows Light and Darkness Dragon. However, this also means everyone knows how to get around it.

But doing so isnt easy. It takes resources and several card plays. So much to the point that most decent players will keep Light and Darkness Dragon in mind when playing against a deck they know has two or three.(but probally two).

But on the monarch/LaDD side, this fact means that people hold back cards that can beat LaDD instead of using them, and hence gives you a tiny advantage.

Which is where mind tricks come in.

If you run one Light and Darkness Dragon, you not only gain partial advantage but can trick the enemy into playing around, or at least expecting, two or three!

This gives you the fear edge that Light and Darkness brings with it, whilst not devoting deck space to getting two tributes easily.

I personally chose to run only one Light and Darkness Dragon in this manner. Running two is also viable.

Thats all for today.

  1. Nice thinking. IMO, the most effective way to do this is running two for a fair chance to draw into him, and then siding them both out.
