Inferno Monarch

What up everyone

So: Infernity Break.

All 1:1 Cards have restrictions as to where on the field they can hit. Cyclone can only hit the backrow, and Smashing Ground/Fissure cant exactly target what you want some times.

But Infernity Break: WOW.

Most cards that say "Destroy 1 Card on the Field" usually come with some kind of restriction. Its NOT supposed to be free. Raigeki Break requires a discard, and Kuraz gives draws.

The most Infernity Break gives is: Set your entire hand in your backrow(like you wont be doing this anyways), and remove from play the last Infernity Break you used.

But most decks cant function so well with this, because you need SOME infernity cards to run the engine at all.

Note that I said CARD, not MONSTERs.

So what decks can really make punishing pushes with very few cards? Given that they have the correct setup?

Infernities, and Monarchs.

So heres a new concept: Inferno Monarch

Not related in any way to Volcanic, Tectonic, Inflammatory, or otherwise fire-related name'd Monarch decks.

Inferno Monarchy

Monsters: 19
3 Caius the Shadow Monarch
2 Raiza the Storm Monarch
2 Testaros the Firestorm Monarch
1 Dirge the Dark Monarch
2 Vanity Fiend
2 Treeborn Frog
2 Dandylion
2 Gravekeeper's Spy
1 Sangan
2 Infernity Avenger

Spells:11
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
1 Monster Reborn
2 Creature Swap
2 Gold Sarcophagus
1 Foolish Burial
3 Book Of Moon

Traps:10
2 Infernity Inferno
3 Infernity Break
1 Raigeki Break
2 Dust Tornado
2 Bottomless Trap Hole

CAN YOU SEE IT??

Of course not. Most people will activate Infernity Inferno to dump both Avengers... Then the 2nd one becomes a dead draw.

NO!

The purpose of Inferno, or at least the main one, is to dump the OTHER Inferno. Infernity Inferno serves as a very powerful deck thinning card, allowing you to clear out your deck of several cards, so you can draw into some Monarchs, or even more removal.
Infernity Break needs an Infernity card in the graveyard to be removed. Infernity Inferno is this card.

That being said, 2 Avengers were included because they make great tribute fodder. Like really good tribute fodder.

Another thing: The lack of Mirror Force/Dark Hole/Torrential Tribute.

So you're telling me that with... I dunno, 75%ish of the deck devoted to direct point removal, you need mass removal, and open yourself to Starlight Roads?

I didnt think so.

Gold Sarcophagus: Helps with that pesky 0 Hand that Infernity Break needs.

So the concept is there: Deck thin with several cards, use Infernity Break, along with a bunch of other removal cards to control the field, and then press for the win gradually with Monarchs and Vanity Fiend.

Class dismissed. Any questions?

Its nice that you intro these new concepts out.

However I think there are better ways to make it more consistent

  2. It seems like the drawback of devoting a chunk of your deck to Infernity cards does not make up for the removal provided by Infernity Break. I could be wrong, and I want to try this out, but there has to be a better way to do this.

Maybe Plants and recruiters like Mystic Tomato would make Avenger more viable and would cause the Infernity Break engine to be worth running. I'm just worried about consistency issues.
